How you ******** types assess tonight's fights?

I'm curious to see what you gamblers are thinking tonight.

For the Taylor/AA fight, I think this is interesting because I'm reading AA is a fairly heavy favourite for this one, odds wise. I'm looking at this one as pretty much 50/50, AA has the advantage of fighting in Germany but I think Taylor's skilfull enough to offset this and also I'm sure he won't gas as badly as in the Froch fight. We've had some controversial high profile decisions recently and I think for the sake of boxing this one will be judged fairly, even despite the location.

Personally I'll be taking odds of roughly 5-1 on a Taylor points win. I think Taylor is the better boxer, if his stamina holds up, and if he wins I think it's gonna be a decision.

For Froch/Dirrell, I'm taking the same view. Froch was outboxed by Taylor for a long part of the fight and I think Dirrell is slick enough to give him problems the same way. I think Froch will be ineffective for a while although he'll probably come back into it later on. However if he hadn't knocked out Taylor so late on he was well behind on the cards, I'm going for a Dirrell decision. I can see Froch coming out like a madman for the 12th but if he can't land the clincher I can't see him getting the decision, even in Nottingham.

So I'll be taking a Dirrell decision at roughly 4-1 odds.

Will stick a few bob on each and see what happens! What are your strategies/odds you've taken?

I thought you meant the ******** type those who bet real money. Taylor/Abraham could go either way, Im not of the belief of some that think Taylor has little chance. I can envision Abe's hooks getting around Taylor's guard and doing damage, but to do so means he will have to walk through fire because Taylor will let his hands go and I really dont think Abe is that type, he wanted to quit in the first Miranda fight.

Dirrell/Froch could go either way too. Froch hits extremely hard, just about everything he hit Pascal with, Pascal reacted, even still he never hit the canvas. I wouldnt be surprised if Froch got the ref to stop the fight in his favor, but I wouldnt be shocked either if Dirrell scored a ref's stoppage. Dirrell with have to fight smart fo 12 rounds, at times he lets his opponent get too close, but I'll lean toward him for the victory in this one.

Yeah I did mean real money! Those odds are what I'll be taking ie stick £10 on Taylor decision and try to make £50.

I don't usually bet on boxing but I think they're both tough to pick a winner at this stage which is why I think Dirrell/AA as underdogs is a good opportunity to make some cash.

i got froch by KO at 13/8
And i put a cheeky 5 quid double on Froch by stoppage and on AA by stoppage (13/8 for AA as well)

Not bad, if either of those two win it's gonna be by knockout, not too bad odds either

I'm gonna put £5 on a Taylor points win. Should return around £25.

My gut feeling tells me to stay away from tonights fights. I think overall the tourny is set up pretty evenly in the opeing round. The Taylor/AA odds should be closer, but that doesn't mean Taylor won't lose.

Two things I was considering just to play the odds:

Money on Taylor to win outright and money on AA to win a KO. Either way I'm getting money back unless Jermain lasts the distance and loses. The problem here is the judges could screw Taylor in a close fight.

Dirrell by decision. If you really believe in Dirrell here +300 odds seem like a steal. I just don't know what to think of him yet. Not until I see what he's got tonight.

Remember your getting these odds because they are unlikely scenarios. Though I do think the Taylor bet is possible because he is at a cross road and will do everything he has to to win. Direll winning a decision in England is highly unlikely. In my humble oppinion take Taylor and leave the Froch fight alone.

I would stay away from Abraham-Taylor, to me that is a fight that is to hard to predict.

Froch-Dirrell, is a pick'em also if betting on that fight I would parlay Froch/under (11.5 rounds) or Dirrell over (11.5 rounds). I am thinking about a small bet on Dirrell but even though I really like him as a prospect and think he has a ton of skills it is hard to have a ton of faith in him at this point.
