How rare is it for ex sparring partners to win? Never heard of one winning. Your right, he wont be surprised when he wakes up off his back. Nothing but giving a friend a payday which is fine but at least mix in Berinchyk, Shakur, Teo, Haney & Keyshawn.

Well ofc he's sparred him multiple times and fought him twice in the amateurs.. but he still hasn't got the power or the skillset to really be a threat to tank and it will probably end in 6-7 rounds. This is just another gimmie fight for tank when there's so much smoke between 135-140 right now. Haney,Shakur,Berichyk,Keyshawn,Teofimo, Hitchins,Garcia at 140. But instead he's pulling up a guy from 130lbs.

I can understand why commentators like Shawn Porter usually provide a positive feel towards a competitive as well as non competitive fight. Much more of that is happening these days because of the shrinking size of the serious Boxing community. Therefore, I don’t disrespect it. As far as Giovanna Davis‘s claim that he’ll retire after this, that too is an old tactic, if not an old belief of a boxer who is still healthy and worth big money claims to want to retire. Sometimes they do. But not for long. They come back for a number of reasons, mostly money oriented, notwithstanding them BSing, the media or themselves.

Pretty meh fight really, Lamont will probably tag him a few times then get KO'd.
I mean he lost to B level (at best) Jamel Herring at 130 and sc****d past Hector who Davis already beat.
Unless Lamont has an iron chin I just don't see it.
I don't know how Tank and his team justify taking these crap fights constantly.
He still hasn't fought an A level guy yet despite there being a handful around his weight class and he's 30 now.
