Not sure what you’re talking about. This year Munguia fought Canelo and top 5 ranked Erik Bazinyan.

Nothing wrong with a softer touch to stay active and get a third fight in for the year.

Bazinyan????? I said the same thing about him!!! Look at his record and tell me who he fought to get ranked! Munguia's record is full of guys that are past their prime or no one has heard of!

Bazinyan was ranked in the top 5 by the WBC, WBA, and IBF, and WBO. He was also top 6 in The Ring ratings.

Fighting top ranked guys and mixing in easier fights in between to stay active is exactly what fighters should do.

Not in my era! That's the crap that has been killing boxing for years! In the 70's, 80's and 90's, people fought the top guy. That's what made great fighters and great fights! Now you have talented fighters fighting a bunch of sacrificial lambs.

Munguia just fought the top guy in May.

Then came right back against a Top 5 guy. Can’t really ask for much more than that. It’s more than most fighters do these days.

But then on top of that he takes a third fight against an undefeated opponent just to stay active and keep ticking over…which is is excellent and sets him up for bigger things in 2025.

Well, since the guy just knocked him out with one punch, it means I don't know a damn thing! Lol!
