Imagine suing somebody for battery in a professionally sanctioned fight.

Did Haney agree to Garcia taking performance enhancing drugs?
The answer is no which means that Haney is entitled to damages. Garcia can't wiggle out of this **** by claiming he didn't know because he was aware of the adverse findings before the fight.
He is a cheat and it is crazy that the boxing world is turning on the guy who actually showed heart.
I hope that carny sues HaneyComment

I don't know about that it would be a very hard thing to prove you would have to the same fighters fight with it and without it to see the difference, but I think an illegal artificial enhancement that causes a death in sport could be prosecutable today, that's how the world is starting to view things and it only takes one such as Haneys case to start a bushfire of litigations based around proven cheating in professional sport, and on top of the sport thing and loss of earnings, loss of reputation, loss of future earnings etc etc boxing and UFC etc add another layer to it all because of the physical damage potential including death, you watch what happens if a fighter is beat to a pulp like say Cotto Margo, and then dies and the guy that did it tested positive to Peds.Comment

No hypotheticals.
In real time.
Google "Boxers who were banned for steriods" or something similar (the link won't work if you paste it....I tried many times. The word Dope messes it up). You will nopt only be shocked to see just how many guys you'd never thought were roiding/drugging, but how many.
Out of those fights, not 1 death or ICU victim.
Hell, only Haneys pride was hurt.
People put too much stock in roids (IN BOXING. Don't care about any other sport) when the evidence is not there to support it.
Clean fighters, on the other hand -

OF COURSE he is suing because he lost. Do you really believe he would still be suing Garcia had he gotten the win??? Cmon now........Comment

We have the evidence for both cases, though.

And that is the same thing surrounding PEDS in sport, in a way its the speeding within boxing, if you speed we will fine and suspend you, Haney is testing the waters of his loss of earnings, loss of reputation, and physical damage , it was bound to happen sooner or later when some high profile sportsman loses big to a guy that was on PEDS, and its not like the Olympics where you have to give the medal back, boxing has that layer of somebody could be hurt badly because of an enhancement that was illegal , Ryan got caught speeding and now charged with dangerous driving causing injury and loss of earnings, man times are a changing.Last edited by Roadblock; 12-16-2024, 12:38 AM.Comment

What are the numbers for clean fighters vs tested PED users , its a little swayed dont you think something like 98% of all dont test positive , thats why I said to really know the same fighter would need to be looked at using and then not using, the grey area with law is the potential of harm, which is why speeding is illegal yet you could argue that more drivers speeding dont cause any accidents just based on the numbers caught vs speeders in accidents, many laws are built around the potential of something might happen and if you break it and hurt somebody they come down on you with a list of culpable driving, manslaughter charges etc

"Boxers who were banned for steriods"
The names are in Wiki
Might be other sources.
Forget "potential"
Forget "maybe's"
Forget "who knows"
I gave you a list of absolute victims who fought clean fighters.
Facts are out there
And we've seen the results in real time.
Again, I DGAF about any other sport.
There is no "sport" like boxing.

And the point is Haney is testing the legal waters of this, if this gets heard in court don't be at all surprised to see him win the case if Ryan cant pull a rabbit out of the bag, if it gets to court its going to change the consequences of Peds in boxing.Comment
