Pretty lame weekend of boxing. Not really a single fight that interests me.

When Cliff Rold used to do this column he would highlight the truly best fight or fights of the week.

Now all the column is used for is to list every matchup on the schedule.

I prefer the way Cliff used to do it.

Said it before and I'll say it again, how the hell does Jamie Muguia get up for this level of opponent. Guy went from the biggest fight in boxing to back fighting absolutely nobodies, when his division is full of top contenders he could be fighting.

Good G-d, who in the hell is still paying to watch Dillian Whyte?

I miss Cliff, too! He's one of my closest friends in the sport. Most weeks I put the biggest fight up top and then follow with the rest. This week? It's just a lot of stuff with nothing, in my mind, truly separating from the pack.

            Thanks for the feedback.

His resume has far more opponents of this caliber than the Canelo variety. Should be pretty obvious which type he prefers. He only took the Canelo fight because he wanted the bank.

Yeah I know but it's weird to see a guy fight that level of opponent step up and then go back down again when theres guys in the division that he could be fighting in better fights. Goldenboy kinda threw him to the wolves in the Canelo fight because he wasn't ready because the level of opponent he's been fightin didn't prepare him for that kinda fight. I think he did okay tho in there and he definitely proved he should be mixing it with other contenders at 168 so it's a shame he's not
