Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn highlights weight class hurdle for Jaron Ennis-Vergil Ortiz Jnr showdown
Eddie Hearn has stated that the only stumbling block to a possible Jaron "Boots" Ennis and Vergil Ortiz Jnr clash is which division is best suitable for the much-anticipated clash.

Disingenuous by Hearn - he knows very well the reason that Ortiz had to move up to 154 ... because he literally might have died if he'd continued trying to make 147. Team Ennis is all over the shop on wobbly legs and that's out of the ring.
I’ve said it over and over recently. They waited out the WW division to get that email belt. No chance they move up to fight anyone. Barrios is the fight they’ll make. He don’t want any on stannois and Eddie already cheated out on Norman jr.

Of course it is - Eddie's job is to provide the hype and spin. BS is his stock-in-trade.
I suppose every once in a while when things work out the way we all believe they should, he can actually speak the honest truth, but how often does that happen in boxing these days?
Another Thought: While everyone showers Turkey with praise and blessings, does anyone else believe that one significant contributing factor to the malaise of top-tier boxers passing on too many matchups is because of the lure of a really big-money fight? In other words, these guys might be getting paid too much. It blunts the competitive drive to keep fighting, earn a decent (but not ridiculous) amount of money per fight - all needed keep the divisions' ecosystems running properly and in a timely fashion.
Ever notice how the UFC doesn't pay nearly as well and those guys fight ALL the time. Like Uber drivers, the more you take on, the more you earn. If an Uber driver believed he could score a million-dollar fare once a week, he would never drive anyone around as he waited for the big score.
Can we all agree that Bud never avoided this guy ???
Where are all those ex Spence fans who have become Boots fans screaming about ducking ???
Just like Slow Eddie , it seems like his fans have left the building lol
