It's like people are just looking with a microscope for something to be offended about. Racism is not behind every critique of a fighter or any other person. Someone absolutely can and do critique others for reasons that have nothing to do with their race .

Not saying Zurdo will be considered a All Time Great, but he definitely has a shot of gaining a ticket to the Hall Of Fame if he manages to get consistent wins at Cruiserweight and manages to unify. He was written off because he talked big and lost in dominant fashion to a P4P fighter in Dimitry Bivol. He also was not that well managed in the beginning of his career at Top Rank.

His jump from 175 to 200 certainly got him a second wind in his career, improving his skillset and having recent wins over Joe Smith Jr (28-4), Arsen Goulamirian (27-0), and Chris Billiam Smith (20-1) in the span of a year or a bit more certainly looks pretty good. Likely only a few fighters have a better win streak in such a period of time.

Felt that this year although not as good as 2023, showcased the worth of lesser known fighters like Israil Madrimov, Serhii Bohachek, Martin Bakole, Bakhram Murtazaliev, Gilberto Ramirez and Daniel Dubois. With half of these fighters moving on from their previous losses and certainly giving the better promoted fighters a run for their money.
