Comments Thread For: Official: Vergil Ortiz Jnr, Jaron Ennis have reached verbal agreement on fight

The mission to make fights when they are ripe for the picking is a fundamental pursuit of Saudi Arabia's Turki Alalshikh, and as he surveyed the sport's richest division, one bout in particular was there for the making.

Thank You Mr. Thanks Giving(Turki), he keeps "giving" us good fights.

      Matchroom vs Goldeboy

      Ennis vs Vergil
      Shakur vs Kid Austin
      Caterall vs Barboza

Would be great is we could get Berlanga vs Mungia, but Mungia might not be with GB anymore. Possible Pacheco vs Bek the Bully.

Both guys are looking for something big. Ennis career has been moving too slowly with promoter choices, bad timing and that last mandatory fight. Virgil lost momentum when he had to take a health leave that was extended. Good fight for both guys at this point of their career and is a fight that captures the imagination.

First he bought Ring Mag from that other promoter and now it sounds like that bad mooslum man is up to his old tricks, making well, ummm....phenomenal fights..... and he's probably charging $20.00. You, you, you monster.
