Once HBO and Showtime got out of boxing it has become next to impossible to build mainstream stars.
A lot of guys fought on HBO cards for years before they would be on PPV so they were well known by the casual sports fans.
Now these guys fight once a year if that against lower competition and fans have no reason to watch much less pay for these fights.Comment

Thank you. At least someone knows something about Delahoya. He was PAST his prime at 154. He was always a great fighter but his name was made at 135-140.
The first Mosley fight and the Trinidad fight were at 147. Sturm beat him in my opinion , he didn't "whip" him by any stretch of the imagination. He was past his prime at 154 but still a really good fighter. I've never been a fan but I recognize that he was a great fighter.Comment

He couldn’t beat Sturm at 154. Canelo would EASIOY whip Sturm at 154. Go back to playing with your video games.
Past his prime Oscar at 154 still beats Canelo pretty easily YDKSAB lmao. Mosley and Tito were robberies and Tito is my favourite all time fighter. He floored Vargas and losing to Hopkins at 160 who would have also beat Canelo easily at that weight. Learn boxing before you post lolComment

You have no shame too. The ginger at 26 was fighting a 36 yo ggg well past his prime(he didn't do it when he was his mandatory nor to unify the division, he was over 30yo but, still closer to his prime), and fought another past his prime mayweather because Oscar push him to do it because floyd was about to be retired, they were afraid to lose the pay check. Why a fan like you still defending this fraud is beyond comprehension. Be safeOriginally posted by El_Maldito_Rey
Which one is that? Canelo at 26 was fighting GGG and had already fought Mayweather.
what are/were Stank, Ennis, the Charlos, Andrade, Shakira Chickenson doing at 26?
Stop acting all high and mighty now that the Cuban mutt signed on to fight Benavidez. F ucking hell, he’s another one that’s about to hit 30 and barely getting a high profile fight.Comment

Well you claimed that canelo was past his prime at 32/33, so 36yo seems well past and still he lost the fight, plus the peds thing, not everyone is the same, like you know ginger hit 32yo and he was done. Am I defending a Cuban mutt? I really don't know one.Originally posted by El_Maldito_Rey
F uck off loser, you defend the Cuban mutt, yet when it was time to watch him fight, you claimed you had better things to do. Too bad you didn’t see how terrible he looked in his last fight. The mutt is going to get bounced by Benavidez and I don’t think highly of Benavidez.
36 year old is now past their prime? Funny how the narrative changes around here, 39 year old Beterbiev was a great fight for Bivol, 36 year old Andrade was a great win for Benavidez, 36 year old Crawford is still at his best, but when it comes to GGG, Cotto, etc, over 35 is ancient history. You morons need to get y’all’s story straight.Last edited by garfios; 11-23-2024, 02:43 PM.Comment

Morrell Jr? Yes. Although there's not much to defend don't you think so? A guy that has faced with only 11 fights opponents with a record of 217W-19L is impressive, now you throwing three undefeated fighters and now going after the boogeyman is commendable, so what is there to defend? Especially nowadays that boxers get a little bit of exposure and they want millions just to face a comparable opponent. Now, you can dislike the kid for whatever reason but not his willingness to face the best. Oh, canelo has another Cuban breathing down his neck.Originally posted by El_Maldito_Rey
I never claimed Canelo was past it.
no? You’re not on here defending Morrell?Last edited by garfios; 11-23-2024, 03:47 PM.Comment
