Without attacking Oscar and listening to what he is saying, he is right. Today's fighters aren't taking enough risks and fighting the top guys. That hurts the sport. Fighters like Canelo hurt the sport. The list goes on and on.

Whether you like Oscar or not doesn't change the fact that he's right. Turki may be a disruptive but the sport is being burnt to the ground and nobody is willing to put out the fire.
IMO, FU<k Canelo and his $90, garbage fights against cherry picked no hopes. Fu<k Teo and his absolute BS and with him, FU<K Tank and Haney and that entire group of "I'm the face of boxing" frauds. Even worse, FU<k the entire crop of absolute nobodys that mimic these fakes while demanding millions for anyone better than a plumber. I mean who the hell is Brian Norman that he demands $2 million? Most people don't know that he or his idiot father have anything to do with boxing? I'm no great fan of Oscar but he's right.
Madrimov fought Crawford, unlike Jaron Ennis Bohachuk went after Ortiz and Murtazaliev went after Tim Tszyu and...... Madrimov and Bohachuk are doing it again on the Usyk vs Fury card, again!
It seems like the sport of boxing may not be dead in the rest of the world but in America, it's just BS carnival barkers slightly better than Jake Paul and fans that don't know the difference and don't care.... and maybe that's why REAL fights are moving over sea.Last edited by factsarenice; 11-22-2024, 10:50 AM.

It's not like they are alone. These promoters offer big pay and easy fights. They buy up the talent and display them like chrystal. Afraid to lose their signing bonus.

It's not just one thing that's hurting boxing , there's a whole host of factors. It's too easy to blame just one thing and to think "If we fix that everything will be great" . It's wishful thinking.
Very rarely is there a simple solution to a complex problem. When someone tells you "the problem with " , they are 99.9% of the time going to be wrong , " one of the problems with " is how you can find solutions. You could write a book about the problems in boxing and if I had more time I might attempt to start on one here, but that's a job better left to someone who knows much more than I do.

I actually think that boxing is doing pretty good or at least has improved over the last couple of years.factsarenice likes this.
