    How did the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight have 2 minute rounds ?

    Aren’t professional boxing matches supposed to have 3 minutes rounds how did this fight manage to have only 2 minute rounds ?

    To be fair 2 minutes was too long.

    Mike moved well for about 30 seconds.

    Ideally the rules should have put them in the centre of the ring at the beginning of every round. Maybe Mike could have been carried to the centre of the ring by his team and then the round started and stopped after 3.75 seconds of action.

      Yeah, I've seen that happen in a few fights, especially in women's boxing or in some exhibitions. It’s usually because the organizers decide on shorter rounds, sometimes to keep the pace up or for other reasons like giving the fighters a bit more stamina. It’s not super common in pro men’s matches, but it’s definitely a thing in certain situations.

        Because Tyson is 58 years old. That said, it should not have been a sanctioned fight that went on his official record. Should only have been an exhibition which in reality, is what it was.
