A guy signs for a fight at 140 & he weighs in a full welterweight??

Big respect to Mercado for speaking out against this BS, I like that he's standing up for standards.

Tito is a top 5 prospect in boxing - but he needs activity and also better opponents than Saracho

Guys missing weight as a tactic is some bullshlt. Maybe the penalties should be stiffer , or changed.

Anyone who misses weight by 5% or greater should receive a suspension as it is just another form of cheating. Fans already have to run the risk of fights being cancelled due to injuries so having them cancelled due to fighters not even coming close to making weight is unacceptable.

When a guy misses weight by 5 lbs or more, he should get a loss on the cancelled fight, and whenever he next fights he should forfeit his purse to the opponent he forfeited to by coming in overweight. All of the Orgs and promoters should come together and enforce this, whether it is a fighter for the promoters stable or not. Once fighters see the nonsense won't be tolerated everyone will be coming in making the weight.
