Quite honestly, this was an error of omission on my part. I had stepped away from boxing writing in 2023 and had completely forgotten about the Whyte positive test. I also did something uncharacteristic on my part — I tried to crank this piece out too quickly to get it done just as Ramirez vs. Billam-Smith was starting and didn't do my usual research through the BoxingScene archive, which would've supplemented what I had failed to remember.

A good reminder, albeit an embarrassing one, for me to do due diligence with every article I write. Thank you for pointing the error out. I've appended a paragraph to the piece.

Whyte's a good fighter - has been in with a lot of the top guys. Will be good to see him come back. Can't help feeling he might be on the slide now though. We will probably end up with another Whyte/Chisora fight....
