Comments Thread For: Chris Billam-Smith not convinced that De La Hoya or Hopkins have seen him fight

Chris Billam-Smith doesn't believe that Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez's promoters Oscar De La Hoya and Bernard Hopkins have ever watched him fight - but he continues to take inspiration from Hopkins.

This is probably the best card this year. Very competitive fights.

It's a good one for sure ,no idea how it goes

I watch CBS and sometimes thing he's not particularly good at all, but he keeps pulling out victories. He's a bit of an overachiever, he wasn't even expected to win domestic titles.

Clearly he's pretty deceptive and harder to beat in the ring than it looks from the outside.

The thing about CBS there's no real special effects. But he's pretty good at following a game plan and getting it done.. he's durable and strong and that helps him aswell and he's one of them guys he doesn't look like much but when you get in the ring with him he makes you fight his fight. Saw that against Okolie and Riakphore who both I picked to beat him and he was able to neutralise both of them.

Think Shane Mcguigan deserves some credit aswell because he took this guy who thought maybe could win a British title and took him to a British, commonwealth, European and world title with a couple defenses under his belt aswell to now having a big payday in Saudi in a unification
