Comments Thread For: Rafael Espinoza may leave featherweight after Robeisy Ramirez rematch

Rafael Espinoza will already be sharing the same card as Emanuel Navarette and Oscar Valdez. Perhaps he will soon be sharing a weight class - and possibly the ring - with them as well.

the rematch with Espi will and should be interesting, hope to dont loose his focus and start thinking too much about 130 -- take care to make improvements with Rosi then decide for sure if he is going to move on up....... He has the height to carry more weight and it will be interesting but prove that you can do it again with Rosi'

At his height, Espinoza should probably move up to 135 unless he's afraid his power won't carry that far.

Kid has alot of heart. That said I believe Ramirez knocks him out in the rematch. He overlooked him big time and that wont happen this time. Anything can happen but Ramirez is a better fighter and he was a few seconds from the stoppage last time.

The article says he'll move up if he wins the rematch but IMO if Espinoza is having issues making weight he should move up regardless even if he loses. He got the belt and had a defense of it. If he can make weight and win, might as will stay for Inoue payday but no reason to stay if he loses to Robeisy.

Espinoza is freakishly tall for 126. His frame can easily take him to 135. But will his abilities follow?

One of the reason this rematch is as exciting as ever. Is Espinoza a real deal who can become multi-division champion through 126, 130 and 135 and such, or was he just a freak of nature beanstalk similar to Fundora that got the surprise factor to get Robeisy the first time when literally no one knew of him and was looked over?

Espinoza is a good fighter, no matter what. It’s hard to say if Robeisy took him a little too lightly. We’re about to find out in the rematch.
