Still angers me how that lady "doctor" stopped the Chico vs Casa fight due to Chico's cut lip !

Corrales/Castillo is the greatest fight that I ever saw. I still remember the Sky Sports commentary from Adam Smith & Jim Watt.. “these two a baring their souls in there tonight”; “this isn’t about boxing tonight Adam, this is sheer, unadulterated machismo”

This was the first fight I showed my son. We still watch it to this day. One for the ages. Corrales was my favourite fighter.

Castillo is a legend too. But only Floyd haters who never even watched the first fight think he beat Floyd. Floyd as the Pretty Boy was as good as it gets.

Steve Albert and Al Bernstein were the shotcallers
So many ebbs and flows
I usually watch this a couple of times a year as well
Never reaching for the remote or turning down the volume

Another Chico fight I like was when he made Frietas quit

PBF fan here and I can see why a person would think JLC might have won.
He did much better than people thought he would
PBF won both fights
No one beats PBF
May is beatable by only the very best @ WW+

Makes sense sense he was drunk and speeding.

Nice comment brother. As you can see I am a massive Chico fan. I have dvd’s which i brought from eBay 20 years ago with Corrales fights against Floyd, Freitas, Casamayor etc. That was a great time for fighters at 130/135. Loved watching all of those guys.
i agree with everything you said above. Mayweather is an all time welterweight great. But below 147, he was like lightning. What a fighter.

Castillo is already in the Nevada HOF and just on that classic alone vs Chico he should be in Canastota. That fight took whatever left of their primes they had, he was shot against Hatton already. Who knows where his career could've been if he wasnt' robbed against Mayweather, even before he got to the big leagues he had already fought some names, From Stevie Johnston, Bazan, Mayweather, Lazcano, Julio Diaz, Casamayor, to Chico, that was a murderous row and he held his own win or loose.

Considering some of the other people who have made it into the HOF , I think that Castillo and Casamayor should make it also. Corrales is already in and rightly so.
