Tim would have been well served to study the Bivol tactics to box on the back foot and arguably winning more rounds or at least a draw vs a real beast of an aggressive fighter in beterbiev. You just can’t square up and walk down a quick accurate counter puncher who’s tall and expect to win every exchange while leaving yourself so vulnerable to counters. Maybe he was made for bakram - but now we need to see a unification with Crawford. This guy crushes fundora and an aging/rehab case in jermell.
Goddamn Turki must be laughing his ass off lol. Tim got way too careless and Murta made him pay with interests. Turned out Bakhram is no paper champion, boy got skills and power. A unification with Bud or Fundora next please.
This reminded me alot of how Wladimir Klitschko got ko'd by Corrie Sanders, it happened the same way, he got hurt then got up and continued to stalk in a straight line so all Corrie had to do was line him up with the straight left but in this case it was the left hook behind the guard.
Murtazaliev has a pretty good arsenal, fast active jab, sneaky left, hook, he shot the straight right, and even flashed the upper towards the end. Good stuff by him.
Ya vlad thought he was the bully in that fight to...now sure if tim can learn the same lesson...or if his brother will beat up the guy lol
I believe Tim wanted to show his father Kostya who has not attended his sons fight since Tim’s pro debut that he has the Tszyu genes. Tim walked into punches with his hands down against a sledge hammer and paid the price. Honestly, I didn’t see this coming. I hope he takes time off and works on his defense because he is a warrior. Congratulations to Murtazaliev who has a bright future after such an impressive win.

Unfortunately no Manny to teach him to jab at a distance and wrap your arms around your opponent like an octocpus if things get iffy. Who did Tim train with this camp Devin Haney the way he couldn't avoid that left hook?
Two possibilities. Tim learns from this and how to adjust to being hurt himself and improves his defense, or he is done at the top level.
I have always thought Bud-Tszyu would be a good fight, while it lasted. Pretty obvious now that Bud would have hurt him and then stopped him.
Never seen Tim hurt had before this. He literally lost his mind and had idea how to recover. Really shocking. Maybe he thought he would never get hurt in a fight? LOL. Amazing.
