guys, do you realize that wbc mandatory (benavidez) is irrelevant because ibf (eifert) is next in line? wbc is last in order. beterbiev won ibf title in 2017 and NEVER in 7 years fought ibf mandatory fight. meng won ibf eliminator vs. deines but political problems affected beterbiev - meng fight for years. meng waited for 3 years then lost to pascal who lost to eifert. ibf let beterbiev fight the loser of their eliminator (deines) to satisfy that obligation but the fact is there were no mandatory fights in his whole reign. since i knew this, i was hopeful that bivol would fight eifert last year and this year because he was free after zurdo. but we have r*e*t*a*r*d*e*d matchmaking in this era.

Almost right.. Beterbiev defended against IBF mandatory Callum Johnson in October 2018. WBC Mandatory against Brown 2021 and Callum Smith 2024, WBO Mandatory against Yarde Jan 2023. Bivol last defended WBA mandatory against Ramirez in Jul 2022

So IBF is next in line, then WBA, then WBO, then WBC is the last one...

Beterbiev is the wrong style matchup for David. Especially that Beterbiev hasnt looked old, he fought TWO movers this year and looked fine, in both fights he had more energy than his opponent in the mid and late rounds.

david a guy who comes forward, was used to fighting smaller guys, will get obliterated and KTFO. Hes just way too open and beters defense is very solid in its own right. Bivol fought about as perfect a fight as you can against beter

Both are pressure fighters who comes forward. Who throws more combinations?? Whose power is less??? Benavidez relentless pressure and combinations will humble Betaviev Quote me

I can imagine Benavidez being lit up in less than 4 rounds... Beterviev would be licking his chops at the One way moving forward Benavidez... David style is perfect for an early submission against Beterbiev... And I don't think he has the skillset/Ring I.Q.of Bivol to defend and counter... Far from it ...

That said, Bivol would outbox him for 12 rounds ... same result, different way ...

I was under the impression Diennes took the IBF mandatory spot, as him and Meng had faced the final eliminator. Meng won but was unable to fight, so Diennes became mandatory. No?

Can David box on the back foot? Is he smart enough to not fall into any traps? Can he absorb the body shots?
