    While GGG is older IRL
Who had the tougher boxing career ?!?!?

GGG could have fought well into his 80's fighting guys like Murata, Rolls, Kamal, Stevens, LeMeh, Vanes, Isheda.........

He was pressing forward but getting peppered by GGG's jab and was getting nailed with the uppercut repeatedly. The chit he was throwing was being taken on the gloves or slipped apart from in the above mentioned rounds and a few other occasions. Golovkin's ram rod power jab was a constant throughout. It's also funny how the 36 year old fighter got better as the fight progressed while the peak 28 (who used PEDs in preparation) faded lol.

I will give Canelo his dues though - he absorbed some serious chit traffic rider latest mod apk, I thought he was gonna go when his legs buckled from a left hook in the first 10 seconds of round 12

What you need to factor in is that Golovkin got going too late, his amateur career went on forever. Nobody wanted to fight him either in his prime. When he fought Canelo in fight 1, he was slightly slowing down then, mostly in his ability to cut off the ring as quickly, but still had enough. He won at least 9 Rounds that night. In the rematch, which I felt he edged in the later rounds, his stamina was in further decline, and he pulled it out on heart alone. but watch fights after that. He's slow to cut the ring off, his punch speed has went from average, which was fast enough for his style, to slow; his stamina is shot. After 2 rounds, he's on empty and fighting on desire and chin alone. This is a combination of his age and very long amateur career. Golovkin at the peak of his powers is a fight for anyone in history. Not the best, but a very hard night's work.

The Canelo that Golovkin fought is much better than the one who Crawford beat. Canelo has been shot for 2-3 years. Watch Canelo's head movement and defensive skills/reflexes from that period. His ability on the back foot. He fights like he's stuck in treacle now, and with a head that can't move. It's easy to just remember a guy at their worst. How about we remember Mike Tyson for his Jake Paul loss? Or even his losses at the end of his proper career. Danny Williams, McBride, and the like?

But most people have an inbuilt bias. Fighters they like they only think of and remember at their best. Fighters they don't, they only think of and remember at their worst. Lennox Lewis falls into category A for most, but if you want to judge Lewis alone on the night when Prime Lewis fought a completely over the hill Mercer, lost at least 7 out of the 10 rounds, if not all 10, and looked like cr@p, only to be bailed out by a single referee scoreline of 96-95, the only man in the world who thought he won.

Golovkin was a great fighter. When we had him, Kovalev, and Stevenson causing havoc in the boxing ring, boxing was in a better place than it is now. Usyk's HW reign has kept things going lately. The 140/147 divisions have went from immense in the 00s and up to around mid 10s, to utter cr@p. Also, the great small guys, Roman, Estrada, Rungvisai, Cuadras to a slightly lesser extent, are done/on their way out, though we have Bam, which is great, but Nash looks back at those times as being better than these ones. We should appreciate a warrior like Golovkin, who kept going as long as he could despite knowing he was a shadow of his former self, and still being good enough to compete at the high end of world level, which shows his level. His greatest wins were making cowards of Cotto, Martinez, Canelo, Floyd, Jacobs, Ward, who all ducked him when he was prime. All of his title defenses were impressive in one way or another, pre Canelo, which he had to play soft for the money. Canelo knew he had no chance vs GGG so he ducked him for five years and only fought him if he played soft for the payday.

Actually we never saw his best wins. We were cheated out of those by Floyd Sergio Cotto and Canelo ducking GGG in order to save their own careers.

Chasing smaller fighters while crying that he’s too small for 168 or a small middleweight when he’s bigger than the guys you’re insulting for supposedly ducking a weight bully who feasted on bums…

Canelo obviously had the longer, harder boxing career. We will likely never see guys with the length and activity of Canelo and Pacquiao (I know you don't respect the latter) at the elite end again.

I don't see why this automatically makes GGG terrible though, they seem to be unrelated issues. GGG is a significant figure in the history of the middleweight division: no more no less. I'm failing to see the huge controversy and why this subject is still generating so much acrimony.

I didn't even have an issue with the official outcome of any of their fights (that one scorecard was egregious).

I saw fight I'm sure I remember seeing ggg beat nelo. I can't speak for judges really, if i.just took their opinion as the truth I might as well not watch fight myself and just take their word for it, but that's whole point of watching fight yourself to see if things add up.
