Well I am going to have to disagree with you about the seriousness or legitimacy of the p4p rankings because it is much more based in fantasy rather than reality but will agree with you on your points about fantasy fights which could and may actually happened but have not yet.....it is all fantasy and can be fun to talk about but I can never have a serious discussion again about something so subjective and dependent on imagination. Talks of possible fights that have not happened yet are fantasy too like Mosley/Clottey or even Cotto/Pac but can produce more legitimate meaningful discussion because of the realistic possibilities as in SSM/Clottey and the reality we are inevitably going to experience with Cotto/Pac.
Are P4P rankings complete works of fiction?

Yes. They are ******, as are the people who discuss them.I mean the best fighters in the world can't be scaled down and if they could they would be totally different fighters and would not have the attributes which made them successful, but this is what p4p rankings are based on when you deconstruct the basis behind it. So should p4p rankings not be discussed or given thought with any degree of seriousness because they are complete works of fiction not based in reality?Comment

Bump because, yup they are still ****** and I have no idea why they even exist.....war on made up p4p rankings because I only care about fights that happen in this little place called reality.Comment

i agree they are complete crap. they make it possible for ducks like mayweather to avoid fighting the best in his division cause he can claim to be "p4p" the best.Comment

Like being ranked p4p #2 is an actual title, when Mosley was the real champ @ 147 but gets little recognition because Floyd and Pac are ranked higher than him and have titles in the imaginary land where you win your belts by enough ppl thinking you would.Comment
