At the end of the day , Turki is part of a dictatorial regime. They don't believe in a free press , in fact they are very much against a free press. American voters in particular should pay attention , when someone tells you that the news is "fake" , it's because they don't want to be held accountable for their lies and bad motives. Turki apparently isn't going to deal with anyone who isn't kissing his ass. That's a black mark on his character as far as I'm concerned. As part of the Royal Family who rules Saudi with an iron fist , Turki is used to having his ass kissed and apparently can't take criticism, or NO for an answer. He might not be all that good for boxing afterall. We shall see.

Perhaps he should also consider that the UK recently saw anti-M.uslim riots, and Wembley's crowd of drunken football fans may well have been booing the Saudis for reasons other than wanting to support the human rights of journalists.

Edit: this article is raging about censorship and not being able to talk about Saudi politics in boxingscene articles. Yet the users on boxingscene cannot even post the word 'M.uslim' uncensored. You are complaining about your free speech on a platform where you censor everybody else.
Heaven forbid the language those who throw leather for a job use.

'featured the words “Chop Chop,” which given Saudi Arabia’s reputation for decapitations — the journalist Jamal Khashoggi's death included — struck BoxingScene as tone-deaf and ill-advised. " hahahahahahaaha This journalist ain't getting free tickets anymore, that's for sure! lol This said, what do you expect from rich barbarous zealots?

Not a surprise but it's sickening all the same. Awesome job to the writer. Much better than the 15th breakdown of his Dubois punched Joshua's face in. Keep up the good writing.

Do you remember when the US killed those Reuters journalists while they were doing their jobs? No? Well, have a read then

    Not just you.

This writer needs to be reminded of how the West, led by the self-proclaimed world police are fighting to make sure Saudi Arabia does not host the World Cup. They keep harping on about human rights issues and Capital punishment. Well, well, well, guess how many people the US has executed in just 2024 alone - as of last month, 1,413 people have been executed. Thee are over 2,200 people on death row.

In 2022, there were record 238 exonerated prisoners in the US.

We are a bunch of pathetic hypocrites. We enforce LBGQT+ in other parts of the world, we enforce democracy and overthrow their ********ically elected government when they disagree with us.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia is paying boxers money they’ve never seen. I really hope they take control of every sport and I hope the World Cup goes to Saudi Arabia in 2030.
