No lie. Boxing is one of the original Olympic sports, dating back to the ancient Greeks. It’s a true athletic endeavor. They’ll allow non-athletic sh.it like pistol shooting, but boxing’s future is in question? Give me a fu.cking break. The world is an absolute mess.

No one said that boxing's future is in question. The closest that I found to that in the article is an administrative issue, not an existential one.

Errrrm, what it says is: "We’re optimistic that a decision on boxing for LA 2028 will be made by the IOC in early 2025."

This would seem to mean that a decision has not yet been made on the inclusion of Olympic boxing at the next Olympic Games, ergo Olympic boxing's future is most definitely in question.

However, the IOC has acknowledged that an international federation needs to be engaged to oversee boxing for the Games. USA Boxing, along with about 42 other countries, has joined World Boxing...."
