    Another Brit who bit the dust throwing a long range rear upper was Amir

    Amir got clapped by a left hook

    Joshua got clapped by an overhand

    joshua may as `well of been on the other side of the ring `wen he attempted that upper cut

      If he threw a hook there's a decent chance his might have got there first. Weird choice but then again a bit like the Ruiz fight he was essentially on planet zog for the best part of 4 rounds.

        Agreed. It was a very weird, illogical choice to throw an uppercut just like that from there. Left hand down and all.
        Left hook, straight/overhand.
        1-2.
        Up jab, straight/overhand
        All far better options. Razor Ruddock's 'smash' (against Michael Dokes) would have been perfect.
        If you're going for an uppercut at least set it up from that distance, (up) jab to keep him busy and block his vision, then unleash the uppercut.
        AND KEEP THAT LEFT HAND UP.

          He could have feinted a jab then strike with a left hookercut [45 degree angle hook] if unusual was what he was going for
