You obviously dont know how things work. Most fighter sign with a promoter to get TV dates. Ennis had a direct deal with showtime that GUARANTEED him tv dates. He didnt need PBC, or anyone else for that matter. What he needed was a father who was willing to fight opponents with an actual pulse.

You are rewarding mediocrity with your adoration. 28 years old almost and not a single big fight. Name any all time great that’s ever done that? Boots isn’t some special talent he’s a dime a dozen new age fight no one email champ cherry picker. Ain’t no de le hoyas Trinidad’s and Vargas’s no more

What you are saying applies to almost all the current “big names”. Tank, Haney, Shakur, Teo etc are all criticized by a lot of people.

Your criticism of competition is warranted but t you are just being petty when you say he has no skills and is just as average as the done a dozen we see all the time. That is incorrect.

Nah he wouldn’t get by Ike quartey. 28 years old man. Not a big fight on the horizon and no trying to even get in one. It’s pathetic. Teo got loma and Taylor.Tank has got barrios and garcia and is fighting Rayo next and 99% KO rate. Haney got loma and garcia and Regis. shakur yea he fought nobody do Los santos is good but that’s it. Boots is just not trying to fight to fight nobody it’s absolutely bizarre lol. Imagine Vargas NOT trying to fight tito or Oscar. Like wtf is this nonsense? Boots career has be unremarkable and will continue to be for the foreseeable future

If this continues into 2025 then I’d be inclined to agree with you. I don’t think any of the other title holders at WW have any interest in Boots.

The only “big” fight Hearn ever had in the cards duped ennis is Conor eggs. I’ll bet the house that’ll be next after he fights this Karen. We really never seen anything like this in the history of boxing. The pathetic ness

Tank is about to be 30 years old. Incredible fighter. By this time, Tank should have unified 126 to 135 or beaten a litany of who’s who in those weight classes. Has he? Does he have any plans of who to fight at 135/140?
He may have a little better resume but is it where it should be?
Teo, after squeaking a win over Loma, Teo is only angling for big paydays. He’s willing to go up to fight Bud but not Boots.

Boots SHOULD unify 147 - it will help dispel the myth that he has no interest in fighting top guys. Again, if he doesn’t do that by end of 2025, then the argument he could be the next Andrade would be very justifiable.

Bro even if he unifies 147…who cares? 147 is barren of any meaningful fights. Barrios is a champion at 147 rn. Barrios. Who got flatlined by LW tank. Barrios vs boots is the biggest fight he can get at 147 and that fight is an absolute joke. I was a big ennis fan thought he was next man up but he’s worse than the rest of them he don’t want big fights he wants soft touches for max money he ain’t special. 28 and no big fights. Name one all time great fighter that’s gone till the age 28 without having an elite opponent

You got me when it comes to the age factor. I can’t defend that.
What I can say is, look at Crawford. After he beat Jeff Horn, he could not get a fight with any of the top guys at WW. Mostly due to promotional outfits not wanting to work with each other. It appears part of that issue with Boots is his dad and the promotional outfit he’s aligned himself with but time will tell

Thing about boots is he’s not even trying to position himself for a big fight. He was inline to become Crawford’s mando but dropped out. His biggest fight in the 2 years will be vs connor eggs benny. I’d bet a pretty penny on that.

I have said for years that he is an isolationist scumbag who spent a BILLION DOLLARS trying to put everyone out of business and failed spectacularly in that effort.......
News flash, every promoter does that.

The only time they don’t is when they have the larger stable of fighters and need the other promoters to make big fights. Then, they switch up their tune and act like everyone else is the devil

Also, stop trying to bait and switch.

The point here is that nothing was stopping Ennis from signing a deal with PBC.

He intentionally avoided signing to PBC despite knowing that most of the top welters are with PBC.

He did the opposite of what would get him the fights he wanted and then went and cried wolf
