Pacquiao knocks Porter down in Sparring

Manny Pacquiao knocked down his sparring partner undefeated middleweight Shawn Porter
    Oct. 15, 2009 | by Edwin B. Pineda
Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao is getting better and regains his unbeatable fighting form. During his recent sparring sessions, the former world champion Jose Luis Castillo was shaken his head because he got beaten too much. The Pacman outclassed his sparing partner, plus he knocked down undefeated middleweight Shawn Porter. On the first round of sparring, porter was badly beaten and in the second round Pacquiao sent him to the canvass. Pacquiao showed them the true spirit of a pound for pound king. This is a good sign for Pacquiao's fans. Porter is 154 pounder, bigger than Pacquiao. Cotto is 147 pound fighter but in their bout both fighters will meet at 145. If you think that Pacquiao do not have the power to put Cotto down, then you better think twice.

Cotto schedules his 13 to 14 weeks training and 8 weeks for Pacquiao. I believe that 8 weeks for Pacquiao is more efficient than Cotto's 14 week. In terms of quality and world class training, I have no doubt that Pacquiao is ready for Cotto on Nov 14th. Behind Pacquiao, great sparring partners and his trainer Freddie Roach. What can you expect to that. On Pacquiao's side, middleweight Shawn Porter (10-0, 8 KOs), Urbano Antillon (25-1, 19 KOs) and former world champion Jose Luis Castillo (60-9-1, 52 KOs). Meanwhile, Cotto’s sparring partners are Francisco Figueroa (20-3, 13 KOs), Fred Tukes (7-1-1, 5 KOs) and Kenny Abril (9-3, 5 KOs)(Francisco Figueroa was sent home for unknown reason and out of the Cotto's camp)
Pacquiao's mechanical fists are ready for the next prey.

Pineda got a 1000 bucks from Freddy Roach for writing that article.

We all know they paid off Porter to stay silent about what really happened when they closed the gym doors.

For all those who don't think Manny can hurt Cotto they better rethink who they put their money on if they are putting it on the line. That is with 16oz gloves and head gear and Porter is bigger and stronger than Cotto. Cotto is in a different league but it just shows that Packy brought some power up to the division.

if he really is knocking down 154 lbers in sparring w/ headgear on that's freaking amazing.
