He didn't. Lara even priced himself out by wanting more money for ggg then he got vs canelo. It's just one of those things people say like immigrants are eating cats and dogs

Ggg never offered a contract to Floyd so I guess he avoided Floyd too?

Lara literally said I need more money to fight ggg then I got for canelo. That means he didn't want the fight my dude. Ggg has no obligation to pursue someone not popular and someone not in in weight class. Why waste your time with someone who publicly stated he needs more money than you can offer???

Lara had the backing of pbc and could have made ggg an offer since he was the one calling for the fight. He did not do that. Lara could have fought on HBO. He did not do that. Lara could have fought at 160. He did not do that. He literally did nothing to make the fight cept say I want the fight, which was just bluster because he needed more money for ggg then canelo

It's literally the same thing as canelo saying I need 200 million to fight Benavidez. Not happening now is it? Lara wasn't going to get more for a ggg fight since ggg was nowhere near as big as canelo at that time.

Lara actually said this "We got to make more money than what he's made in the past for Golovkin."

That's lara saying no my dude. That money was not there for a ggg fight unless you think ggg was bigger than canelo? The rules of reality still apply and saying we will fight anyone from 154 to 168 doenst mean they have to overpay lara with money they can't even get. Lara knew he wouldn't get thet kind of money. Fight dead. The way you are portraying lara is simply wrong as if he would take any offer to fight ggg. He made it clear it had to be huge money. Ggg and HBO did not have that money at that time. He knew that. It was a bluff. End of.

Like I said provide some evidence that lara tried to make the fight please. Your evidence seems to be lara said he wanted the fight...but then you ignore how lara priced himself out. You have to include all evidence in your decision making process. If this was court your case would be thrown out since you refused to introduce key evidence that hurts your argument and exonerates ggg completely. You would probably be disbarred in fact. In common terms it's called confirmation bias and you don't like ggg so you saw one piece of evidence that made it look like oh wow lara wanted the fight while being ignorant of all the other stronger evidence that shows he didn't want the fight.

They weren't in the same division. Haymon refused to work with HBO at that time. Lara was not popular at all.. Lara publicly priced himself out. You could say ggg should have pursued the right more that's fair but he did not duck Lara. A guy saying he wants to fight doesn't mean anything and that's all you have. Wilder said he wants joshua...then turned down 100 million.

Just imagine GGG return straight to challenge Lara, 'Gimme ma belt' boy! Oh man Golovkin would absolutely cement his legacy with that type of win. C'mon Golovkin one last dance!

Lara should move up and call out Ginger. If Ginger is going to cherry pick, Lara is what, 40/41? Besides, Lara shouldve been granted a rematch way back when

Regardless of whether Lara wanted GGG fight, I don't think GGG could be bothered. At the end of his career, he was just chasing a Canelo payday (by the way, I liked GGG). He wanted $10M to ride off into the sunset and was not interested in fighting Lara or anybody else for that matter for $1M or $2M.
