I didn't see the fight. All I know is Danny said he beat Bud b4 in the amateurs and therefore, he could do it again. He's trippin'. He always showed a sturdy chin. It surprised me to hear that Lara tapped his jaw like that and made him propose on one knee

Be glad that you didn't see it. It was terrible. What a dumbass Lara is , he had a ghost of a fighter in front of him , he's on a huge stage with a guy that has nothing left , and instead of taking the opportunity to shine , he decides to join Danny Garcia in stinking the joint out. If I were working with him I would be livid.

From what I have read , Danny has done very well for himself with investments in real estate. I'm always glad to hear about fighters who managed their money well and can take it easy after leaving boxing. It makes up for a lot of the hard work throughout the years.

Also, let us not forget that Lara was 41 years old, several years past his prime and a handpicked opponent who was forced to fight at a catchweight also. Therefore, the deck was heavily stacked against him.

Team Garcia selected Lara because they underestimated him due to his advanced.age and declining skills. You can get mad all you want.

However, no one forced Danny Garcia to take this fight. He took it because Lara is typically the type of opponent that he usually likes to fight.

Someone whom he perceives as old, shot, diminished, shopworn and past their prime. In other words, Team Garcia gambled and lost.

They thought Lara would be an easy opponent but it in fact; It was actually Danny Garcia who was an easy opponent for Erislandy Lara.
              Thanks for the reply

I agree. I do not understand why Lara did not try a more aggressive 1-2 earlier in the fight. I don't know why it took him 9 rounds to work out Garcia had nothing left and put a bit of mustard on his punches.

I mean for example: Every loss he has ever had have all been questionable and controversial. Many boxing fans believed he won both the Paul Williams fight, the Saul Canelo Alvarez fight and also the Jarrett Hurd fight.

Even his Draw with Brian Castano was also controversial. As many boxing fans believed he won that fight too.

The three judges from the Paul Williams fight were suspended for life in New Jersey. And the judge that voted 118-111 in the canelo fight should have been suspended too, you will be hard-pressed to find 4 rounds for canelo, he found 9

He doesn't operate like that, he is content with beating you every round now, if you push him, the hurt begins.

Honestly, man, Danny looked pathetic in there. I felt sorry for him, and I’m pretty sure Lara did too. That’s almost certainly why he didn’t kill Garcia like he could’ve. I saw a post-fight picture of the two with arms around each other. No bad blood between them at all. Their fight was contracted merely to add some names to that terribly weak Canelo PPV. No need to hurt someone who obviously shouldn’t have been there to begin with.
