Comments Thread For: Who is Edgar Berlanga, and how did he arrive here?

Even Edgar Berlanga's closest allies surely have doubts about his chances of upsetting Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on Saturday. But his getting this far is an unlikely victory of sorts. Can he pull off another?

Because this is not a prime undefeated Tyson losing to Douglas that was shocking ..Canelo has a lot of tread on those tires , Canelo has lost twice and has 2 draws , I won't even get into Ws that some think he lost ex. I thought he lost to Lara he has flaws...Again I would be surprised , but not shocked .

No buzz. No one cares Canelo is fighting this weekend. Sad for the sport.

"The Puerto Rico-Mexico rivalry is the real reason. Berlanga isn’t getting the fight – Puerto Rican and Mexican fans are getting the fight.”

Funny, it seems that Berlanga will get the purse.

They keep bringing that 16 KO streak up like it is some type of achievement. He has looked ordinary against had picked opponents. It will be a miracle if he beats Canelo but boxing is the theater of he unknown.
