People would watch it for the same old curiosity reasons, but nobody serious is going to give CM a chance in hell and it def won't sell the way him and Floyd did.

Some did criticize Floyd. And that was about it.

Canelo is being criticized for the outlandish duck of Benavidez. Benavidez has been Canelo’s mandatory for over two years. What does Canelo do? He fights a guy who had to move up from 154 Ibs. He then proceeds to fight overmatched guys while demanding $200 million to fight Benavidez.

Ask yourself why Canelo is asking for such an amount. Or perhaps you can try to answer that.
Benavidez has even agreed to accept a paltry $5 million so that Canelo can have the lion share. That would be less than what Plant ($10 mil) got.
Berlanga is reportedly going to make a guaranteed $17 million.

That list tells you Canelo’s mindset. Just FYI, I’ve been the biggest Canelo fan for years until it became just too obvious and ridiculous he is ducking Benavidez with his stũpïd excuses.

That said, it’s super easy to show how this is different from the Floyd-PAC fiasco.

Bob Arum was PAC’s promoter. A scumbag that Floyd didn’t want to work with. Arum came up with the silly idea of building a new arena or building more seats. There was the drug tests, the scared of needles tales.
Canelo is fighting guys for $35 to $40 million AND has clearly said it will take $200 million to get him in the ring with Benavidez. That is a clear indication he wants no part of the monster.
So no, Canelo is not doing the same thing.

Since you are using the boxing trifecta that never works, I’ll do the same. Marquez destroyed Manny in 2012. Two years prior, Floyd had beaten him like a pińata so Floyd wasn’t worried about PAC.

As for “… if Benavidez was so great …”, Benavidez has been calling out Canelo for three years now. In that time, he beat Andrade, Plant and then went up to 175. Benavidez could be ducking Morell but he sure ain’t ducking Canelo. Only you would believe he’s ducking Morell.
