Comments Thread For: BoxingScene's Midweek Mailbag: Saudi boxing league, best boxers who never won major titles, Ennis-Chukhadzhian II, and more

In this week's mailbag, we tackle the idea of a boxing league led by Turki Alalshikh and his Riyadh Season; the wet fart that is the idea of a rematch between Jaron "Boots" Ennis and Karen Chukhadzhian; a potential fight between Naoya Inoue and John Riel Casimero; and the best boxers of the past two decades who never won major world titles.

Would someone please point out to me what Albert Bell has done to even earn a top 20 ranking, much less a shot at a belt. Nothing but tomato cans on his record, and he's already got another record paddling opponent lined up for later this year.

Nobody gives a shyt about Saudi politics but they do care that Turki Alalshikh is putting on the best fights for $20 PPV and worse....FREE mega match-ups.

To even imply that whats best for boxing are the bosses that run the most corrupt sport on the planet is the epitome of hypocrisy.

          What does this even mean?
          Not trying to be snarky.
I don't get what you're trying to say.

I'm sorry, that was not directed toward you but the thinly veiled hit job of a mail bag.

Lately, every article that mentions Turki Alalshikh also intimates Saudi Arabia's lack of moral intention, as if to purposely define Turki's contribution to boxing by his countries politics.

Conversely, when writing about Bob Arum nobody feels the need to bring up the US governments threats to the newly elected Mexican president because she intends to remove corrupt judges on the Exxon-Mobil payroll.

Not once did the article mention that Turki put on the best back to back match-ups in a decade.

I have never heard of Albert Bell either. I don't think Albert Bell has either.

I don't think anybody should get paid more just for signing with Eddy. That right there takes the prize out of prize fighting. Eddy signs them for a lot of money then pays them a lot of money and everybody else gets a flat rate. 70-30 win or lose is fair to me. If a guy is so good and draws so many people, he should win, get 70% and draw more people.
