So Bob, neither guy is a legend - not even close - but if you know, you know, and this matchup is legit. Can't wait to see it. I think Bivol takes it by UD or SD. Just a hunch.

I was thinking the same thing. Yeah , they're excellent fighters , but legends is a real stretch. Tough to be a legend with so few fights. 20 and 23 , I don't understand this starting so late thing. Is a Gold Medal really worth half of a pro career ? Not to me.

I think Loma started late, too, after winning his gold medal. Or medals, I think he may have more than one, haven't checked yet.

EDIT: Yep, Lomachenko has two Olympic gold medals: 2008 @ Featherweight and 2012 @ Lightweight

In Eastern Europe and Russia yes they are legitimate boxing legends . To USA centric fans no .

You better believe that Beterbiev will be and will remain a legend if he KOs Bivol and retires Unified champ with a record of 21-0 and 21 kos - he will be remembered for a long time - no ifs and buts.

Yeah, he needs a career-defining win, by brutal KO, and Bivol's the prime candidate. I still think Bivol can get a decision win. We don't really know what's up with Beterbiev and his injury. Bivol looks like he doesn't take punches to his eyes well. Not that he gets hit so often, but they look bruised up underneath them a lot.

ESPN+ has the biggest and best bouts? LMFAO all due respect to Bob but don't insult the fans intelligence. They are knees and toes the bottom of the barrel when it comes to boxing broadcast platforms. Having said that this is a premier matchup for once I'll gladly pay for.

I think this will be a career defining win for whomever wins. They both need a real signature win to become a legend. This is it.
