Sam Langford is an example of a P4P great who was built by the standards of his time and generation. He fought often, was poor, hungry, had heart and was fighting for his livelihood. Those ingredients created champions. Fighters back then were not afraid to fight each other or lose their "0s". Langsford, Dempsey and others were champions created by those conditions. To add to these conditions, these guys fought 75-100 round fights.
