Strongly disagree. As long as both fighters stay active the fight still possible imo, Canelo may be 6 years older but he doubles or triples Bennys experience fighting at the highest level, lets not even begin with each fighter style, you know damn well Canelo struggles with Elite Movers( Floyd-Bivol) not so much with flatfooted pressure punchers like Benny. Even with difference in size and age its huge step up for Benavides more than it is for the ginger. As for the crazy money demand, even Benavidez promoter said isn't that crazy figure to reach and with Turki The Dictator now in the scene everything is possible.
Btw, I wouldn't call that Bivol offer a 'lowball' considering it was his highest purse ever back then. Plus you forgot the fact Bivol wanted 168 undisputed not running it back at 175 like Canelo originally wanted.Leave a comment:

He might not read this, but his fans do and they suffer every word posted, they know he's a fraud.Leave a comment:

He's a pu$$y. Ask yourself why he has pick ryder, munguia and berlanga, instead of rematching bivol or defend the belts against David Morrell Jr or benavidez. Why? Can't use the they haven't done anything, because the the three he chose had no business at the divisionLeave a comment:

Canelo will NEVER fight Benavidez. He's full of crap! Floyd fought Manny late in the game, because there was still a huge demand for it, and they are close in age. It won't work for Canelo to wait until he's ready to retire, because he's six years older than Benavidez. As time goes on, it just gets harder and harder for Saul to be effective against David, and he knows it. Nothing would embarrass him more than to have his ass handed to him in his last fight. He tried to save face after losing to Bivol by saying that a rematch was his top priority so he could have his revenge, yet it never happened. He instead offered Bivol the same lowball that he offered him in the first fight, knowing that Dimitru would reject it as the victor of that fight. Similarly, he's demanding $200K to fight Benavidez, knowing that even the fifthly oil-rich Alalshiek won't put up that much for one fighter. He even engaged in a public feud with Turki to make sure to sour him against meeting his outrageous demand.

No lies told here by Canelo. David was exposed as a weight bully, he struggled, like was really in the trenches with a B- light LW, that was supposed to be a showcase until.....it wasn't. It's one of those fights in boxing where the headliner won the fight, but lost the event, some of that luster came off and nobody can dispute that. At least he now can live up to his monster moniker.....by fighting actual monsters.Last edited by fistandfury; 08-26-2024, 07:57 PM.Leave a comment:

Can't wait for Berlanga fight to be over. That will mean the 3 fight deal with Haymon is over and then Canelo can start fighting meaningful fights.Leave a comment:
