            Only viable if it's Mosley (or some other non-Pacquiao v Cotto fighter). He really needs to see how the fight turns out before commiting himself to anything, so I don't think he has the chance to try and steal a bit of Pac's shine this time.

                Only because in beating Hatton so soundly, Pac was making a clear statement about Mayweather too. Why do you think Pac went after both DLH and Hatton..the two fighters Mayweather fought last before retiring? So, Mayweather naturally probably thought that Pac was trying to tarnish his legacy a bit.

                I doubt Floyd would make an announcement on the eve of a Cotto fight...because he has never fought Cotto. And beating Cotto doesn't make a statement, particularly, involving Floyd.
