he was great at 140. That was a long time ago. His run at 147 isn't stellar. He's probably a solid gatekeeper at this point.

Lara is the WBA champ. He had the "regular" belt but was elevated they finally stripped Charlo.

Danny has fought twice in the last four years. He hasn't held a belt in over seven years and has NEVER even FOUGHT at middleweight. Can someone please explain to me how on earth he's getting a middleweight title shot?
Garcia was one of the good old boys from the PBC glory days. Him, Thurman, Porter, Spence…all at one point in time THE GUYS…or at worst, high level contenders.

He’s done well enough I guess for Al Haymon to pull some strings, but if he hadn’t been a PBC fighter with a lot of good performances even in losses, he sure as hell wouldn’t be on this undercard……..or maybe he WOULD be. There’s always a fight on the undercard that’s framed as, “Will the wheels finally fall off the bus?”

This could be it right here.

I hope Danny pulls it off but I think he won’t. Also, I have enough faith in his chin that he’ll make it to the final bell. Garcia has HARDLY ever been critical trouble.

Not a bum. I'm always for aging warriors to get a payday.

Honestly, my favorite fights are when old vets rise to the occasion and a real fight breaks out

He won that vacant interim belt by beating Cornflake LaManna lol. Middleweight is such a wasteland
