He was walking into the straight hand all night but the left hook did it. Sheesh!

Lopez like Robeisy Ramirez was focusing too much on an upcoming fight with Inoue than taking care of business.

I'm still in shock lol. So Leo should have a mandatory soon, the rematch between Kameda and Dlamini in 2 weeks is for the mando spot I believe, that would be a fine first defense, but I wonder if TR will try to slip one voluntary in before that. I could see TR sliding Joet Gonzalez into a fight with Leo, that would be high action as well to be fair.

I'm more interested in where Lopez goes from here. He's been getting down to 126 for a while now, does he stick around or go to 130? More than that, can he come back from a brutal KO like that? One of his calling cards was being able to fight awkwardly and take shots, now that his chin has been destroyed, what kind of fighter remains? Interesting stuff all around.

            Maybe a Venado-Villa Rematch ?

Night Night!! Cong**** to Leo for the KO of the year!

It's about time that Lopez's lazy style finally catches up with him. Top Rank needs to stop marinating 126lb and just make unifications.

He is a short man for 130, feel like his style will get more exploited by rangier boxers like let's say Coincecao or Foster. Even fighting Nunez with his renown punching power could be a bad idea.

I agree it doesn't suit him to go up, but he was at 130 against Vences and Gabe Flores and has only really made 126 when a title has been on the line, so I do think you have to at least wonder how much longer he can comfortably make 126. I'll definitely be tuning in no matter what he does next though, dude is always in entertaining fights

                    • I'm curious how TR is going to view Leo as well. Do they see him as a rising fighter to get behind and continue to build up, or do they see him as a guy that struck gold on one night and is a sitting duck to have his belt taken and use him as an opportunity for someone else? If it's the latter, I wonder if they try to fast track Carrington towards this fight
