Depth is an issue, but maybe not the most important. Their budget may be the biggest issue. Do you remember that Forbes list of the top sports promotions by revenue? GBP was behind Matchroom, Top Rank, and PBC:https://www.forbes.com/sites/justint...omotions-2024/

I think they've been carefully matchmaking some of their fighters because of this. For example, Conwell is in a filler fight tonight when he should be stepping it up. Vergil is in a good fight tonight, but he should've had a tougher opponent last time out. I'm not sure if GBP can afford better opponents for their fighters, and their lack of star-power is making them risk-averse. Look what happened to Alexis Rocha vs. Santillan. Ryan Garcia is a basket case, so he can't be relied on. GBP really needs Vergil to succeed tonight.
