Tim is at his peak, the returns already diminished. He's talking about getting back something that was taken by a lesser fighter to hear the rubes talk. Fighting more formidable foes no doubt. Murtazaliev is too dangerous for the money, another war isn't in Tim's best interest. The lumps add up.

That's your rationale.
Murtazaliev was so lucky to not lose to a near 40 year old Jack Culcay in that IBF fight.
Do you watch boxing?

Spence shouldn’t even be in the conversation at 154. He won’t be the same after the Crawford fight. He’s done and just wanting a final money grab.
In my opinion Tszyu is the best at 154. Yea he’s strong but he’s got a lot more than that. His dad’s influence on his style is clear and he was a great fighter. Very underrated skill. Elite level sense of distance and reading an opponent. Always on balance. Great range and placement of shots and power in both hands. Calculated relentless aggression. Doesn’t get hit clean a lot.
He would’ve walked through Fundora had it not been for the cut and don’t see anyone at 154 beating him and that now includes Crawford based on his last fight. Fully expect Tszyu to unify 154 over the next couple of years especially with Saudi money behind him. Been impressed with Tszyu for a long time. Only reason he’s not more highly rated is due to PBC’s protectionist belt hogging approach and non US fighter propaganda spouted from US media outlets.CPNUTKnockoutFreshMart likes this.
