Canelo's last few pay-per-view bouts have done average numbers. In addition his fight with berlanga is going to bomb pretty bad. There is no interest for that fight and it is also competing against UFC that night so it will do terrible

Turkish will come back around and likely offer more money. Either way Canelo doesn’t need him or Crawford. He’s the only one in the game who’s his own boss and bas multiple promoters throwing hundred million dollar deals when he’s available.
I'm sure he doesn't need the money but if he wants the biggest money available to him, then Turki will provide it if he's willing to fight guys like Benavidez.
He's not willing to take those fights, so he's happy to take good purses for much lesser fight, but he's no longer getting the purses others are starting to. If he's happy with that then good for him. He's rich anyway and on the slide, so he's just collecting cheques at this point, even if they're not as big as they could be.
However Canelo has made it it clear he's not interested in tougher fights, even if the pay is better.Rayzah likes this.

Turki learned last weekend what Arum and Top Rank were saying for years. That promoting Crawford fights means losing money.
He used Canelo’s name because no one was talking about this card last weekend. They probably never give an official PPV buy number because it did terrible and ticket sales were slow and reports are they did a bunch of late giveways and there were still empty seats visible.
Then he makes a desperate move to talk to Canelo and get him to agree to a fight on the spot knowing that’s not how business is done. Why? So he could go out and sell his other money losing events to sponsors and distributers that are seeing his super card crash and burn.
Laughable to think this clown won’t come back later. What other big fights is he making with Crawford? Only difference is it will cost him more later.
