I somewhat agree with Turki here where he just wants matches worth paying for and putting together. If Canelo wants to face subpar opposition for massive paychecks, he can continue to do that on his own without Turki's involvement. Turki is basically saying, we want you in competitive matches or don't waste our time.

I posted in another thread that at this point I see Canelo content with making win only fights that will also fill his bank, all the way until retirement. He knows he has his fanbase and they'll pay to watch him fight a sloth at this point. Once again... al the way to retirement.

As for the face of boxing, I'm not sure who really cares about that title beyond their own individual egos. Outside of whoever is calling themselves that, it really means nothing to the public. The public just wants to see good matchups and whatever it takes to get there. I thank Turki for helping with this and if he wants to call himself the face of boxing if that means his continued support, go for it. I don't care who that title belongs to because it means nothing to me.

Some people are honest enough to understand the damage Canelo is doing to fighters that have dedicated their entire lives to boxing and still, they simply don't care. Others will try to deny and deflect what Canelo is doing with "whatabouisims" and point to the different guy Turki Alalhskh, the only person paying and putting on competitive fight as if he's injuring boxing.

So you really think Canelo-Bud would actually be competitive despite the weight difference? Better yet do you find respectful to start negotiations whilst having an scheduled opponent , attending press conference and right about start camp?
