Comments Thread For: 'Fighting Words' - Canelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga and the stench of business

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is still the straw that stirs the drink - even when that straw is feeding us piping hot sewage. That's the bad taste in our mouth from Canelo choosing to fight Edgar Berlanga.

"He [Berlanga] is not anywhere near as feted. That is why this fight is fetid.
It is the stench of a business decision."

Ahahaha - I see what you did there. So we have a boxing writer with a good grasp of ironic language and uses it to make his point.
      Nicely done.

            - Just don't buy the fight if you think the PPV isn't worth it.
            - It is really that easy...........

The Stench goes beyond Canelo my Friend, look at guys like Crawford, Tank, And Stevenson. Shakur is saying he's going to fight Zepeda which would be great and a step in the right direction but I'll believe it when the contract is signed. The Stench is all over boxing, and it won't end until the fans and the media stop watching and demand fighters to step up and stop praising fighters and calling them #1 P4P when they have fought absolutely nobody and really haven't done anything besides beating paper champions with paper titles....

The fighting words might actually be much more entertaining than the fight itself
