Floyd needs to fight the best fights while he's in his prime. This guy Alvarez is too green.
    Oh, of course.

I was not saying that this dude should fight Floyd (who is past prime now, but not much).

This kid would have his career derailed, possibly.

Which begs the question.. Are Floyd and Pac both destroying any future hopes for Mexican boxing?

My gut tells me no, but my mind tells me yes.

        • If Mayweather fights this kid I'll

          Reading this made me cringe.

Should this fight happen it's simply not possible to defend Floyd any longer.

How much time? Does a great fighter needs time after what he did against Juanma. Or he is just afraid to face the top WW contenders?

            I hope this isn't true.

            • lol Anyone ever look at it as a way to make Pacs camp realize that he can move on and that fighting Pac isn't at the back of his mind (even though it is). It just publicly exploring options. If he DID fight this guy I doubt it would be before a Cotto/Pac/Mosley....

Y'all just love to hate. Its going to come down to no matter who he fights he will get hated on. Some fighters wont get hated on until AFTER they lose. Most everyone in here has an agenda, and its to never give Mayweather credit, that's already clear.

The fight is obliviously just an option....

              • There are many of aspect of Mayweather that I dislike but I do my best to give him credit and the benefit of the doubt when so many won't, but if he takes this fight and not one against Mosley or the Pacquiao-Cotto winner, I'm afraid I'm gonna hop straight on the "f.uck Mayweather" bandwagon. It was hard enough watching the **** he pulled against Marquez with not even trying to make weight and having every possible advantage there was to have. The blatant size difference criminal. But even against my favorite fighter I did my best to credit the shut out he gave him. It's time (it's past due really) that Floyd steps up and fights a real Welterweight who is a legit threat, otherwise, retire for good.

What!? Neither Paq or Mayweather have done enough to derail the future of Mex-Boxing. lol Neither of them fight prime fighters.

I mean Paq can't even get past an older Marquez, which isn't that surprising. Especially since once Marquez showed up on the scene, he wasn't something ordinary. And where was Floyd when Oscar and Mosley were light years past him and holding the sport down? I'm not sayin that was pre-meditated by Floyd, Floyd was just too little to hang with the real fighters of his time that were bigger than him, both in the ring and outside of it. Even to this day, lol that lil ass clown is tryin too hard to reach their status at their primes.

Oscar's and Shane's opponents combined, they completely outweigh Mayweathers by potential HOF reputations. That's the general difference in stardom, and reputation. lol Baldomir doesn't cut it. A past it Gatti, nothing to cry about. Judah, Baldomir beat you to it Fraud. lol ***** stop trying, you aint that Ninja.

                  ---------

Now Mex-boxing, isn't British or Filipino boxing lmao..

Our lights just don't burn out, we don't need older guys to build off of. And Flip boxing is in for an eternal search for the next Paq, now that the lower weights are getting their re-up. lol I mean, they can find a strong fighter and keep him in Asia until the lower weights die down again. And than try to make a move, pull that Mayweather/Paq maneuver.

But between the Cubans and Mexicans (I'd add the Rican's, but they're **** is lookin very fabricated at the moment with this hand wrapping bull****) they look like they need special help to drop guys within 5 rounds.

But I've read some dumb **** on here, but I just can't believe ******er **** gets said regularly lmao. I should expect it, but it just throws you off when you read some really dumb things

                  • I really hope Floyd doesn't take this fight. It would be like some little kid doing as little as possible to not get in trouble, as if he is saying "you all are critical of me not fighting WWs, well look I am fighting a WW just like you all wanted". Its the best way I can describe it.

                      HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

Don't say I didn't tell you guys. He is not gonna fight any top welter and will continue to justify fights with smaller fighters using excuses of steroids and not being a big sell to avoid the guys in his own division. He'd rather fight inexperienced prospects with no chance to win at all as opposed to the P4P #1 which is what he claims he should be and using greed as a subtle way of avoiding that fight too.

There you have it, Floyd Mayweather Jr.....the world's best. just retire again Mayweather- do the fans a favor.

****EDIT: at least the guy is a welter weight, so I retract my statement about welters but still, the guy isn't even ranked in the top 10 and we all know that his record is full of local fighters and he has probably never even fought outside of Mexico. When the flack comes Mayweather's way, he is gonna say that all the other TOP welters have losses and this guy doesn't as further justification if he fights this guy.
