Sounds like Golden Boy is trying to sign a fighter. Is Schaefer even a Mayweather spokesman? As much as i hate Mayweather i really cant find a reason to blame Floyd for Golden Boy using the media to attract a fighter. Golden Boy probably just pulled a few strings with whatever contacts they have here to make it look like they can get Mayweather to sign on the dotted line outside of Vegas. Not Likely, but a very good tactic. Any 19 year old, who is daring to be great, will look at this and sign his life away. Mayweather will never agree to this absurd matchup in Mexico against a guy who has not even broken into the Top 10 yet. I did watch some videos on Alvarez and he is good but still hard to tell if he will be great, at least great enough to step into the ring with Floyd. So this is nothing more than telling a girl that you love her before you get the goodies. And it looks like Golden Boy is going to get lucky tonight

That is true and I agree he shouldn't have been taking those types of fights. Still may of his fights against cans, experienced ones in addition to n00bz were stay busy fight in between the higher profile fights which were legit challenges....JCC was very active you have to give him that at least. I think floyd should take a stay busy fight.
I am not talking about a megafight which must be in vegas in order to make the most money. I am taking about a stay busy fight in which he can showcase his skills, get some work in, and sharpen his arsenol for his next MEGA MATCH !!
It would be very rational for him not to take another 5-8 month lay-off after he was just off for 2 years....Mayweather Said he was alittle bit rusty so if he is trying to get his skills sharper SINCE HE IS ALITTLE BIT OLDER.
What better way than a stay busy fight?
And just like Juilo Ceasar Chavez he can fight prospects for stay busy fights.Comment

Floyd would jump at the chance at this fight. I don't understand why Schaffer is mentioning any opponent for Floyd other than Mosley? Sure, an Alvarez-Floyd fight would do good at the gate, but it would bomb on PPV because the casual fans don't know who Alvarez is. This is almost as bad as Floyd going after Chavez Jr even though I think Alvarez is better. Mosley called Floyd's ass out to his face, and Schaeffer and Floyd need to quit being douche bags and make the fight happen.Comment
