Actually Larry Mosley was the right fight for Alvarez. It was a good step up but it proved tha he will struggle with the Larry Mosley level type of fighter. That he is not ready for a top 20 WW.

It was his first fight in America, and he admitted that he was too nervous and cautious and that he will never fight like that again, he was 18 years old at that time.

After that he KO'D Raul "El Tendero" Pinzon in 1 round in America, the fighter after losing to Alvarez in his next fight put 3 times Ricardo Torres on the canvas in Colombia.

He has won since the Mosley fight,7 times and all of them by KO!

I really belive that Shane-Berto will get done for Jan.

Assuming that Pac wins, this scenario is possible:

1) May-Pac in March
2) may-Berto in Sept

That would be a nice year.

I do not think that Berto is a gimme for Shane at all. I think folks are forgetting the Mayorga fight bc Shane looked so good vs Margo.

To Shane's credit, that was a whole different Mayorga. He appeared to take training really seriously and his persona pre fight was completely different as well. Mayorga didn't even fight like Mayorga.

I lost interest in him fighting Cotto when he retired back when it meant something. No real desire to watch him fight Pac at WW after seeing the Marquez fight. Mosley is what? 39? And Berto is still a prospect in my eyes.

Would I watch those fights for free? Yes. But none of them have a significant enough chance of winning to make them interesting enough for me to be excited about them.

Will I give him credit for them? All but Berto, of course, they'd all be good names on his resume.

But Williams is the only guy at WW that I feel would be highly competitive. At JMW, maybe Martinez and Williams.
