    Boxing On Network Television

Does anyone have any good details on this?

Here is my take on it. I really want this to happen, even more then I'd want to see the next Tyson HW emerge... BUT....... This is why it will not happen. There are only a handful of fighters out there that are big PPV draws. Network television is going to want those guys. The problem is there not going to be able to pay a mayweather, a pacman, a mosley, a cotto, or anyone else the type of money they would make at a PPV. Therefore they would never be interested. Putting up and comers on network television is not going to get the rating's there looking for.

Now this is how it could all work out. People would have to make sacrifices in the pure goodness of boxing. A big name is going to have to fight another big name. That's going to have to happen more then once.. Then eventually they can start introducing new guys in, maybe start a series with the new guys, letting the fans grow attatched to them. Not necasarilly putting all the good up and comers against each other, but showing there life, and how they prepare, and there rises and falls in the hunt for the title..

Network TV will be the best for Boxing, but i don't know if the Top Fighters will like the idea of being payed less, beacuse there will not be PPV's.

Mexican Boxing is in Golden AGE because boxing came back to Network TV in 2006.

But maybe what they can do, is to show the fight a week later on Network TV to solve that problem.

Just look at this 19 year old mexican kid Saul Alvarez, he has had lots of fights on National TV and he is now now a STAR in Mexico, everybody knows his name.
