This article is silly. It was Crawford’s first fight in the more than a year at a heavier weight against a very good opponent. With the ring rust now off Crawford, a Crawford-Canelo fight six months from now is still worth watching. Boxing writers like Pugmire are rushing to give Canelo cover to keep milking money from gullible fans/suckers in low-risk fights against guys like Berlanga, Eubank Jr., etc. and run out the clock on his career avoiding guys like Crawford and Benavidez. I have a feeling Canelo will find the Crawford fight still attractive after his fight against Berlanga gets mediocre PPV numbers and is overwhelmed by the UFC card.

Canelo is very strong at super middleweight. He could take the punches of Golovkin, who's obviously a bigger puncher than Bud.

So that would be a fight I think Canelo would overwhelm him, although not necessarily as easy as against Jermell.

Crawford vs Ortiz and Ennis would be good, at 154 or even 160 lbs.Last edited by Liondw; 08-04-2024, 07:19 AM.Comment

Seriously? That "blind slurring weight drained zombie" had his car accident before he beat Garcia and Ugas. Didn't seem to be a problem then. And no one told Einstein to get drunk and flip his Ferrari in the prime of his career. Guess he couldn't afford the Uber. Did you say the same when Spence beat Kell Brook? Remember Brook had just had his face (along with his career) disfigured by GGG just 8 months prior. If Spence had fought Brook prior to that Spence would have lost. And I love how you can call a list of current or former World Champions "nobodies" as you're scrubbing toilets at your 9-5. The levels of toxic ignorance in this comment section never cease to amaze me.Originally posted by El_Maldito_Rey
and who exactly has Dud Crawduck been fighting? What murderers row of killers are on his resume? 10 fight nobodies that got robbed? One legged dudes that were shot on their leg? A blind slurring weight drained zombie that he fought 5 years too late before a life threatening car accident? Old and out matched opponents?

4 weight world champion, yeah easy accomplishment when you fight a bunch of nobodies and are practically handed those belts.Comment

Broner had 4 titles too remember. It's about how you do it and against who. Usyks titles I'm 2 divisions is better than pretty much every 4 division titles run in historyTerence Crawford belongs among a special class now that he ranks as a four-division champion with Saturday night's tightly contested unanimous-decision victory over World Boxing Association junior-middleweight champion Israil Madrimov.

Stop it. You can't duck someone 2 divisions below you.

Crawford fans really itching to see him get KO'd. Then Canelo will receive all the criticism for fighting and knocking out a welterweight.

Stay away from 168 Bud. This 154 pounder with under a dozen pro fights had you guessing until the last few rounds. You don’t have much time left. Jumping straight from this fight to super middleweight would be a bad move.Comment
