Wilder was limited in boxing ability but the version of Wilder that wasn't gun shy would beat those others.

Ruiz has always been average. He had good night vs AJ but that was an anomaly in his career. He's been completely mediocre every other time.
ah yes the hypothetical "great" wilder that existed before fury and could only be found knocking over tomato cans. what a shocker he disappeared the second his comp was upped. thats called being exposed. there is no mystery as to what happened. there was no being ruined. he wasnt very good before fury. he struggled mightily with ortiz, spilzka, washington, molina, etc...

ruiz is leagues above wilder. he beat joshua who is 10 times better than any wilder win. he beat ortiz who is wilders best win. he easily could have gotten the decision over parker who beat wilder 12-0. he su-cked this fight and maybe ruiz is "ruined" now, but at least he has a resume on which to fall back, wilder not so much, just hypothetical greatness about what he would have done to people he never fought.

post fury wilder fought helenius and knocked him out easily which proves its level of competition that has changed, not wilder. and helenius was the level of comp he was fighting for his entire career except ortiz who he ko'd while losing badly. fury, parker and zhang are simply on another level then anyone he had ever fought. remember the only top 10 guy he ever ko'd was ortiz. wilder has a ko percentage of 25% against top 10 guys. hes just not the guy you think he is. he was a creation.
