Bivol beat Canelo. It wasn’t a close fight at all. There is no demand from boxing fans except Canelo and his loyalists.
Guerrero, Marquez, Mosley, Hatton and PAC all wanted rematches with Floyd. They all absolutely wanted the rematches and it bc was totally obvious to anyone but the most obdurate antifans that they all had.
As for the credit you allude to at 168, it was pretty obvious Canelo did not want to risk the 4 titles he’s been holding hostage for two years now fighting garbage after garbage fights. Bivol was pretty clear that the rematch had to happen at 168 with all the belts on the line, why didn’t Canelo accept it? Told have been advantageous for him because Bivol would be dropping 7 Ibs of weight.
Instead of going the usual route we’ve seen here of personifying your response by attacking me, please answer that question - why didn’t Canelo accept the rematch at 168?

Boxing has always been a dirty and corrupt sport, one of the worst in terms of fairness and payoffs and bad judges.....cherry picking fighters, all talk no smoke fighters......guided careers and protected fighters. Etc.
That said, it can create some beautiful moments.

I m addressing Bresdmans response that boxing fans are the worst and using Spence’s loss as an example I don’t think they turned on him. In the years leading up to the Crawford fight you gotta realize all the hate hate and bashing was generated towards Bud from PBC and their fanboys. And that win was satisfying because we got see them all eat their own words. Maybe they turned on Spence but however not us Bud fans. We always knew what the outcome would be.The D3vil likes this.

Thank you.
I forgot to add one thing - why didn’t Canelo give Lara a rematch?

Nailed the Crawford pick, almost to the letter, but Bread was wayyyy off on Jared Anderson
I usually agree with Bread, but I gotta disagree with him on fans.
I get a lot of boxing fans are disrespectful, but that's only because boxing fans are more disrespected than any other fans.
I just had to stay up to 1AM AGAIN to watch the main event of a boxing match.
Show me another sport that does that to it's fanbase?
Plus, most of the halfway decent fights are behind a paywall.
What main****** sports in America do that?
Boxing is the most obviously corrupt in it's judging, drug testing, and championships
