Quit blaming the promoters and just admit Crawford doesn't want hard fights. I'm trying to like the guy, but his career is a joke. This dude has fought like four champions his entire career. He's a joke. He had a chance to capitalize on his momentum from beating Spence, but he did what he's done his whole career and take the easy road.

He turns 37 in another month.

He isnt going to become a superstar at this point. for his financial future he should try to get the canelo fight and canelo is being a *****, afraid to fight benavidez so there arent much fights for canelo at 168 at this point, i can see it happening if crawford beats madrimov.

i am surprised by the madrimov fight, that is a high risk low reward fight. madrimov isnt that popular but hes large, strong, hits hard. If crawford wins he wont be given much credit by casuals. boxing purists know its not a stay busy fight and know he could have taken a weaker opponent.

Boxing is nowhere near as popular as it used to be in America. Who are the current American crossover stars? There really aren't any.

TR didn’t do the best job with him. But Crawford kept re- signing because TR overpaid him. TR gets the bulk of the blame but Bud has to take responsibility for his actions.

I will say this, I just saw a promo this morning for Saturday’s fight for the first time on ESPN. That is ridiculous given it’s a PPV.

Hearn has said this about other fighters, and then when they sign with him their popularity doesn't grow at all.

Because he choose not to sign with Mayweather or any of his subsidiaries like PBC.

He never will be a "star" like Broner, Tank Davis, Spence, Danny Garcia, One Time Thurman, or any other fighter under Floyd's thumb.

So I guess he'll just have to go in 'various HOFs', by his self.

              Poor guy.
I'm sorry but the magical PBC never existed and Danny, Thurman and Spence were never promoted by Floyd. The PBC had a nice run but like it or not, today, the PBC is a dead end.

You get the proverbial nail on the head son! When it comes to promotion BAD Business Bud (3B) is his own worst enemy! Just imagine in 2018 if Bud would've signed with PBC after Floyd retired. Haymon would have his desired PPV mega star a d wouldn't have had to pick between Wilder and Spence to do it. Bud would have already fought Spence, Porter, Danny Garcia, Robert Gierreo, Mikey Garcia, Manny Paquiao, Josesito Lopez, Sergey Lippenets, Lamont Peterson, Adrian Broner, Omar Figueroa, Mario Barrios, Yordenis Ugas, Boots Ennis, Lucas Matthysee, Brandon Rios. He could've moved to 154 and fought Jermell, Lubin, Hurd, Tim Tsyzu, Julian Williams, Tony Harrison. He could've moved all the way to SMW fighting the best. Instead we get 3B with horrible business decisions until we end up with him on a Saudi card that can't sell tickets fighting on Dazn which nobody in America has and he still doesn't have a promoter. Had he gone the PBC router he would've surpassed Gloyd in wins, earnings and notoriety. Smh what a waste of a career.....doe!

You're right. And that's exactly why he's in the position he's in right now. He doesn't like his LOT but the other LOT has treated him like dirt. Smh

Well that’s garbage for a start. You’ve listed 13 fighters so going by PBC’s usual standard of fighting once per year he’d only get through half of those before he retired. Besides PBC don’t let any of their fighters fight the best until they’re either shot or due to retire.
