Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn: Terence Crawford is not being promoted in the right way

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Eddie Hearn got another taste of Terence Crawford's competitiveness Wednesday when the unbeaten three-division champion settled a prior dispute with the promoter by defeating him in darts.

TR dangled him the opportunity to fight Pac and then Taylor, fights that never happened. Promotional nonsense did not let him fight the fighters that mattered.

He's three fights away from retirement. T.C. doesn't need a promoter

Just going off the caption, well, there isn't much time left to promote him the right way at this point. I think he has his own fan following that know about him. Especially after the Spence Jr. win. They'll be there for all his fights until he retires and that's about it. I'm not sure how much he can grow beyond a Canelo fight and actually beating him.

popularity not skill is what sells. havent we learned that with jake paul already.

did rigo or loma get huge pay days? crawford is sterile and boring. really there arent any superstars anymore in boxing except canelo and fury/aj/usyk.

Why is Bud not a crossover star?

Because he choose not to sign with Mayweather or any of his subsidiaries like PBC.

He never will be a "star" like Broner, Tank Davis, Spence, Danny Garcia, One Time Thurman, or any other fighter under Floyd's thumb.

So I guess he'll just have to go in 'various HOFs', by his self.

              Poor guy.

Had he fought, and beaten Pacquiao, before Pac "lost" to Horn, his career would've been much different!!!

He's the best American fighter since Mayweather and might even be better than him if he move up and beat Canelo - titles spanning 135-168 - he should be a huge star already.

He has been poorly promoted - Top Rank don't promote anymore. Consider this ; He is fighting Hearn's fighter but in the last two days Hearn has done more to promote Bud than TR did in the 2 years before Bud left them.
